School Readiness

School readiness tests are designed to give parents and teachers a good indication as to whether the child is ready to take the big step of starting school. Areas tested are gross motor, fine motor, visual perception, auditory perception, Language and mathematical skills. An experienced tutor will be able to tell after just a few sessions which areas, if any, your child needs support in. Starting school is overwhelming for many children and it helps a lot if they have been academically prepared beforehand by their parents, creche or a trained tutor.
